Victorious Faith III

“Are ye so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?” Galatians 3:3

Confusion ensues when people think they can do what they want because they are not under the law, when in reality those who are not under law are under grace. Grace is that state by which believers embrace the reality that God loved them and forgave their sins, and because they love Him in return they obey Him.

Thereby, believers fulfill the law not out of duty and obligation, which would place them back under the law, but out of love. Love is the fulfillment of the law, first by a love for God, and then for one’s neighbor.

The Christian loves not perfectly, nor by the letter, but by the Spirit!

“For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death. 6But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.” Romans 7:5-6
