“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed…” Romans 1:16, 17
God is righteous or right when
men accuse Him of evil according to the Gospel. Furthermore, “…the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness…” (Romans 1:18). The truth about God’s righteousness is suppressed by men because they are unrighteous.
The unrighteousness of men is never more evident than when men refuse to acknowledge that God is the supreme person of the universe. How do they do that ? In an age of scientific evolution, which is just an extension of the age old Pantheism that confuses the eternal, self-existent, all-powerful God with His creation, it is painfully obvious.
“Because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.”(Romans 1:19, 20)
In our present world, the law of cause and effect (every action has a an equal and opposite reaction) is undeniable. Every effect has a cause. An effect without a cause is ludicrous, unreasonable, and moronic. The first supreme cause of all things is the eternal God. Only a being that is not created but Himself without beginning of days is the only thing that makes sense concerning origins.
Therefore, men who deny the existence of God and instead propagate a worldview without a self-existent and eternal God suppress that truth and are themselves unrighteous. Such men are undeniably wrong.
