A WONDERFUL WORLD AND A WONDERFUL LORD

I see trees of green red roses too

I see them bloom for me and you

I see skies of blue and clouds of white

The bright blessed day and the dark sacred night

And I think to myself, what a wonderful world

I see God made the world for His own glory,

And it was good by His own story.

I see man and woman made to stand tall,

Then we chose to sin, and ruined it all.

And I think to myself, not a wonderful world after all.

While we were yet sinners, God determined to go

To Calvary He went, as the Gospel lets us know.

His is a gift of grace, to make our souls bright

He spared not His Son, to end the darkest night.

And I think to myself what a wonderful Lord

I see by faith and trust in God’s word

Thus I see Jesus just as I heard.

I hear my Savior’s cry, and I watch Him suffer so;

He sacrificed more than I’ll ever know,

And I think to myself what a wonderful Lord.

Jesus arose from the dead sinless in God’s sight,

To raise fallen man to a divine height.

Jesus’ love is given and then it is received,

It is then passed on from those who believed.

And I think to myself what a wonderful Lord

I see saints in truth whose hearts are right,

A bright coming day and a city without night,

And I think to myself what a wonderful Lord

And I think to myself what a wonderful Lord
